SWEDEN – With the change in its corporate direction, gambling software provider Designed Quality Entertainment AB (DQE) has decided to sell off its gambling software business.
In a deal worth about US$1.3 million, DQE has sold its 3D internet poker and blackjack software to Proactive Gaming Scandinavia AB, a little known Stockholm software and web design company. The lease-buy deal includes all related activities, personnel and contracts.
Proactive will initially lease the platform for a period and will on a later stage take over all rights to the business which powers online gambling websites StarClubPoker, The3DPoker.com, Vegas007.com and LeePoker.com.
The sale of its gambling business was initiated as part of DQE’s stratefy to focus on sales of its automatic beverage inventory systems. The sale of its 3D gambling software will mean savings of over US$1 million per year on operations and help build capital for DQE to develop a new business.
