ISLE OF MAN – Microgaming, a leading online gambling software and games developer, announced that its bingo software has received the seal of approval from Malta’s Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA).
Malta’s LGA is fast becoming a popular licensing jurisdiction with online gaming operators especially those from the European Union as LGA is accepted by UK advertising authorities.
The bingo software LGA approval is the latest for the Isle of Man-based gaming company that also had its casino and poker product approved by the same jurisdiction.
Microgaming CEO Roger Raatgever commented:
“Malta continues to be a growing hub of European gaming with a successful regulatory model and we have continued our significant investment in Malta by setting up various onsite servers.”
Raatgever further commented that the Malta jurisdiction enhances connectivity and resilience for online gaming thereby resulting to “superior experience” for both operators and players.
“This provides Microgaming with the opportunity to offer our operators an additional gateway into the EU and we are delighted to add bingo to our licensed software offering,” Raatgever said.
Malta is the first EU state to engage in online gambling regulation and offers operators with four types of remote gaming license.
